CATCH THOSE FOXES (I)
(Songs of Solomon 2:15)
Foxes are wild beasts, and their major aim is to destroy their prey. Spiritually, foxes are in different forms.
In this series, the first form of
Fox we would deal with is ANGER.
Anger is a violent emotion of a painful
nature, sometimes arising suddenly upon just occasions.
This is the FOX that
has destroyed many champions of the kingdom. This Fox destroyed Moses.
The Bible says in Proverbs 16:32;
“He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that rules his
spirit than he that takes a city.”
Anger has destroyed many dreams,
disjointed many marriages and it has thrown many into eternal regrets. Anger
must be destroyed before it destroys a person. Anger is not wrong on its own,
but the result of anger is what makes it a sin.“Be ye angry, and sin not: let
not the sun go down upon your wrath”: (Eph. 4:26).
The spirit of anger is a very
vicious spirit that is responsible for the aftermath of anger. Anger is brought
into being by any of the following: Lack of love, lack of patience, lack of
self-control, Pride, jealousy, hatred, unforgiveness and bitterness. Only
divine intervention and enablement can help tame this fox.
Destroy anger before it destroys
