IS GOD TAKING TIME?
(JOB 14:14)
Beloved, what was said
in the book of Proverbs 13:12 is so real and true, it says: “Hope deferred
makes the heart sick, but fulfilled desire is a tree of life.” Have you
tendered your petition before God and it seems as if nothing is happening? Do
you think God has forgotten you in anyway? Do you intend to give up anytime
soon?
Remember, God is never late talk-less of being too late. God
has a timing system broadly different from ours. God has a predestined time for
every of His plans. As a matter of reality, Ecclesiastes 3:11 says: “He has
made everything beautiful in its time.” This affirms the fact that there is a
particular time allotted to you. It is my earnest prayer for you that when your
time of celebration shall come, God will not find you wanting in Jesus’ name.
There are special rewards for as many that will wait on God
no matter how long it takes. From our Bible text, we can learn from the life of
Job, how he waited. Even during his trials, he remained hopeful, he encouraged
himself in the Lord, he did not allow his circumstances to drift him out of God’s
plan.
A popular saying goes thus: “Patience is not the ability to
wait, but the ability to put up good attitude while waiting.” Many people claim
to be waiting on God and yet they talk dirty to Him, they insult him out of
doubts and anxiety, they carelessly challenge Him. The best way to wait on Him
is by reminding Him of His words and promises according to Isaiah 43:26 which
says; “Put me in remembrance: let us plead together; declare thou, that thou
may be justified.”
As long as you remain steadfast as a child of God, as an heir
of the kingdom, god will never forget you; Isaiah 49:15 – “Can a woman forget
her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb?
Yea, they may forget, yet I will not forget thee”
Remember, it is God’s desire that you prosper (3John v 2),
but please, wait for Him.
“Wait on the Lord, be of good
courage;
And He shall strengthen your heart.
Wait, I say, on the Lord”
Psalm 27:14
