THERE IS HOPE

THERE IS HOPE
(Ecclesiastes 9:4)

“While someone is among the living, hope remains, because it is better to be a living dog than to be a dead lion”. (Ecclesiastes 9:4 ISV)

“It is not very good to be a dead lion, it is better to be a dog that is alive. A person that is alive can hope to have a good life.” (Ecclesiastes 9:4 EasyEnglish)

Life can get so tough and unfair to the extent of nurturing thoughts about giving up. There have been reported cases of suicide - findings have shown that some of this resulted from depression and hopelessness. But as believers, no matter what we might be passing through at this moment, no matter how dead you think your hope is, believe strongly that there is hope.

The fact that times are hard does not mean that time of refreshing will not come. Remember, tough people are built by tough times. Examine Joseph’s life closely, how he suffered unjust causes, how his destiny seemed delayed, how it appear as though those great dreams won’t come true. Examine Job’s life, he was stripped of what he had but he refused to give up despite the fact that giving up seemed to be the only option left. These heroes stood their grounds amidst all odds and negatives. Falling does not mark the end of man.
“For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down,
That it will sprout again, and its tender branches
thereof will not cease” - Job 14:7.

The tough and hard times will only last for a moment, the sky doesn’t stay cloudy for a life time, and darkness doesn’t cover the earth beyond day break so also:
“…weeping may endure for a night,
But joy comet in the morning” - Psalm 30:5

My friends, brothers and sisters , “As long as you still have life, there is hope for you”
