THE MOUNT OF GOD

Text: But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions. Obadiah 1:17

The Mount of God is where God meets with His people. Upon this mountain, all sort of signs and wonders are wrought. The Presence of God is so real on this mountain. The Bible called it Mount Zion. The present day Mount Zion is the place of worship, praise, fellowship or prayer. The mount of God has stopped being a physical location; it’s now a Spiritual Atmosphere.

But this mount of God is not accessible to everyone. Not everyone can get there. There are certain qualifications that must be met:

Psalms 24:3-5

3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who shall stand in his holy place?

4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

5 He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

People tend to be ignorant of the fact that PRAYING AND GETTING ANSWERS is different from COMMUNING WITH GOD. But on this mount of God, we commune with God like Father and Son.

So, before anyone can commune with God, he must meet the requirements and qualifications set in Psalms 24:3-5. You need to be pure and stay pure, because the purer you are, the closer God is and the closer you are to that Spiritual Atmosphere described in Obadiah 1:17.

Once you meet those requirements, then you can boldly approach God’s Throne of Grace, Hebrews 4:16.
