JUST A WORD FROM HIM
Text: The centurion answered and
said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou should come under my roof: but speak the
word only, and my servant shall be healed. Matthew 8:8
There are times that the storms
of life will get so tough that nothing will seem to work out. At times like
this, the devil hangs around hoping to see you throw in the towel. But a spoken
word from the mouth of the Lord is enough to settle and still the storms.
There are times that the spoken
word of the Lord will not come directly from Him. There are times it will come
from His ministers or from the mouth of anyone; 2 Chronicles 20:20 “believe in the Lord your God, so shall you
be established; believe in his prophets, so shall you prosper”. And there
are times God delivers these words to us directly through His Spirit.
In the case of Hannah, after long
years of barrenness; after spending some times on her knee in the place of
prayer, the spoken word of the Lord came through Eli, and her testimony began.
I pray for you that in that your state of hopelessness, God will speak life to
you in Jesus name.
On the sea, after the disciples
had tried all they could to calm that storm, noting happened. But when they
remembered that the Prince of Peace was within reach, they cried out to Him,
and with just spoken words, the sea became calm, the storm had ceased. As you
seek the face of the lord this season, by the spoken word of God’s mouth, your
troubles shall be surmounted in Jesus name.
Even the Centurion knew how
efficient that spoken word is. He acknowledged the power behind it. He knew
that power brings authority; and the spoken word worked for him.
But you have a role to play; you
only need to invite the Prince of Peace and He’ll give you peace amidst the
storm of life.
