MEN OF ISSACHAR (I)

MEN OF ISSACHAR

Text: And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment. 2 Chronicles 12:32

The nation of Israel was made up of 12 tribes. Each tribe has its peculiarities. The tribe of Judah wields the Royal Scepter of Leadership. The tribe of Levi held the office of the Priests. But the tribe of Issachar - one of the smallest tribes was peculiar because they understood the TIMES. It's quite a pity that believers today don't want to learn from this tribe, probably because they are small, not-pronounced, etc.

It takes only MEN of ISSACHAR to discern that our age is drawing to a planned close. The world is drawing to an end by every ticking of the clock. The perilous times are here already - 2 Timothy 3:1. We have seen sudden rise in social vices, immorality and misdemeanor than what it used to be. Not just that the love of many have waxed cold. cruelty is now a norm people can't survive without.

We need to start reminding ourselves of what the time is saying. We are at a time when daily self examination should be taken all-the-more serious - 2 Corinthians 13:5. The time for vigilance and sobriety is now upon us, even Satan knows this, which is why he is doubling-up his efforts - 1 Peter 5:8

It is time to wake up from our slumber. It's time to rise out of our sleep. The night is far spent, the day is breaking - Romans 13:12. We now live in a time when the Ultimate Salvation of the saints is closer than we first believed - Romans 13:11

ARE YOU A MAN OF ISSACHAR?
