THE FEAST HAS BEEN PREPARED

Text: Matthew 22:2-14

The Bible passage talks about a King who organized a marriage feast for His Son. It also talked about how invitations were sent out. This King is God; His Son is Jesus Christ; the marriage feast is the Marriage Feast of the Lamb prepared for the elects.

Many pilgrims and sojourners have forgotten that the season of our pilgrimage is gradually coming to an end. Many pilgrims are beginning to set their affections on the world around them. But whether we like it or not, the feast of the Lamb has been prepared! The pilgrimage is almost over.

The Great King has prepared the feast. The banquet hall has been made ready for guests to start coming in. The Great King has sent out messengers to deliver the invitations to the children of men. His messengers are spread all over the face of the earth. Please accept this special invitation.

Accepting this invitation will be the best decision you'll ever make on earth.

But one more thing...

Accepting the invitation won't be enough to allow you to sup with this Great King; you'll also need a change of garment. There is a garment inherited from our first father - Adam. This garment made us liable to death and misery. A second Adam came in Jesus to correct the wrongs and consequences caused by the first Adam. Jesus being the righteousness of God is this new garment that will wholly qualify you.

Put off old garments of sins and filthiness; put on the new garment of Jesus Christ and be eligible to attend this Great Feast.
