CATCH THOSE FOXES (III)

(Songs of Solomon 2:15)

The third form of fox is LUST! It is really wrecking havoc in the Christian fold. It has ruined many, it has destroyed potential champions. The Bible goes as far as calling it a Beast that has drank the blood of many.

“And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth”

(Revelations 18:24).

This fox gives birth to sin (James 1:15). Lust is a beast in disguise, it is always in search of preys. The Bible connoted it as a Mighty Woman (Revelations 17:3). It starts by relating itself as a friend to its prey, but along the line, its real motive is made known. Lust has destroyed many Men of Valour. Lust of the flesh brought an abrupt end to Samson’s mission here on earth. Lust has emptied many that were once loaded (Revelation 18:3).

Lust is not meant to be found among believers but many of us have even embraced it, it has started devouring many (Rev. 17:6). Many have been sold to Lust of the Eye, some it is Lust of the Flesh. Lust will make you desire things that will end up destroying you.

Lust is Satan’s creative agent and chief organizer of impure thoughts which degenerates to impure actions.

 The only solution is written in Proverbs 4:23:

                "Guide your heart with all diligence, for out of it comes issues of life"
