DRYNESS

(Ezekiel 37:1-8)

Dryness is a state of lacking moisture. Have you ever felt a corpse? Our Bible text shows us that sometimes dryness sets in as a result of death. Dryness comes in diverse forms – spiritually, physically, financially, maritally and so on. God is leading us to a war against dryness of every sort.

Effects of Dryness

Dryness brings about inactivity - Prophet Ezekiel said the dry bones were just lying down in that valley, lifeless. If a person’s business is blighted by dryness, that business is as good as dead. If a ministry is experiencing dryness, it will obviously yield no result.

Dryness brings about death – when a business is experiencing drought/dryness, it will die in time. Dryness has no exception, students experience it, men and women of high caliber experience it too, and even men of God that are no longer watchful can suffer it too.

There are many effects of dryness. But I have good news for you.

The good news is that Dryness is curable and reversible! There is a Mighty One who made some sure promises in Isaiah 43:19. He can bring you out of that valley of dryness. He is more than able to do exceeding abundantly above what you can ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).

Just spare some of your time to talk to Him.

  1.      Father, I appreciate You because I know You are more than able.

  2.      Father, by reason of Your mercy, please settle my case today.

  3.      Dear Lord, put an end to dryness in my life.

  4.      Lord Divine, please speak life into what dryness has killed in my life.
