HIS GRACE IS AVAILABLE
JAMES 4:6
The grace of the Lord is made available to some set of people. These people have won His favour in many ways. These people are those ones that have made Humility their utmost virtue. God has so honoured them because of their humility.
The Bible says: “But He gives more grace; wherefore He says, God resists the proud, but gives grace to the Humble.” James 4:6.
Infact,He went further to say the proud are preparing for a fall which will come in the form of destruction. “A man’s pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit” Proverbs 29:23.
In the real sense, humility is one of the things that makes a man stand before kings but pride comes with shame; “When pride comes, then comes shame” Proverb 11:2a.
God is always interested in anything that pertains to the humble, the prayer of the humble gets the attention of God (Psalm 10:17).
Finally, Christ told us the eventual lot of both the proud and the Humble;
“And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.” (Matthew 23:12)
